ARAS Pontiac participated with the Pontiac Historical Society and the Pontiac Museum to the “Travel in the Past”.

The event was held at the Pontiac Museum at 210 Lake Street, Shawville.
An activity for the whole family with free admission.
Participants could discover the local history through stories, songs and music related to the fur trade and the early settlers...

This activity has been implemented with the new project of the ARAS Pontiac for 2014. Under the theme, One place, One history, Artists, ARAS Pontiac created this website and videos to honour the past and let you discover the history of the Pontiac region and of artists.

The members of Pontiac Museum decided to organise a costumed afternoon and giving a presentation of the artifacts of the Museum. Venetia Crawford from Shawville Archives prepared a play with the volunteers about the Legend of Cadieux. ARAS’ decorated teepee was the setting.

ARAS Pontiac artists animated the day with songs for this event.
