For the past few years Ursula Schultz has been sharing her music through the Pontiac and Ottawa Valley. At eleven she was introduced to the fiddle. She fell in love with Traditional Ottawa Valley music and has been working to perfect the unique style. Along the way she has been influenced by quite a few music legends. Ursula was a special guest at Under The Pines Music Festival 2012 and the year after came back and performed a day called “Dancing Violins” She has also performed at The Shawville fair 2014, and Oktoberfest Ladysmith 2014. She was the opener for local Ottawa Valley Singer/songwriter Terry McLeish, also a opener for Caitlin Hanford. Singer/songwriter from Toronto Ont. Ursula was featured as a local upcoming musician on CHIPFM, and has also participated in the annual radiothon. She has participated in ARAS Pontiac a organization for upcoming stage artists. 2012-2014 Ursula has been working on a music video with ARAS that will be shown in 2015. She is currently playing with the Eigger Band. She has performed the last few years at The Run Cure that is held in Shawville QC an annual event including other fundraisers. Ursula has been broadening her genera of music since she started six years ago including some folk, Celtic, Country, bluegrass and the old favorites from the Ottawa valley, French Canadian. She said now the next six years she will be experimenting with different styles and techniques. She hopes to do some crossover music. A rendition of some well known recent country, pop, rock and hip hop bands so the younger crowed can relate also. She feels so blessed to be able to share the unique style of music with others seeing people tapping their feet along to the music.
